MARYVILLE, TN -- On February 22 Echota Technologies President Randy McGinnis spoke at the Air Force Small Business Education and Training Conference at the Sandestin Hilton Hotel, in Destin, Florida. The annual conference brings in the Major Command Directors of Small Business, Small Business Specialists and other guests from the acquisition ocmmunity.
He discussed current and future issues regarding the Indian Incentive Program. After the presentation Mr. McGinnis fielded questions from the audience.
According to Joseph G. Diamond, SES, Director of the Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization the presentation was well received. "The feedback from the conferees indicated that your presentation was truly on target with present day issues that affect the participation of small businesses in Air Force Contracts," said Mr. Diamond. "Due to your willingness to share, it has significantly expanded our knowledge base on the Indian Incentive Program."
Echota Technologies Corporation is a Native American owned business that has been granted status to participate in the 8(a) BD program by the U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA). Echota Technologies consists of four active divisions: Commercial and Nuclear Services, Security Services, Information Services, and Tactical Training. The majority of Echota Technologies contracts are for training and technology related projects for the Department of Energy (DOE), Department of Defense (DOD), federal and state agencies. Echota Technologies is currently the prime contractor for DOE’s National Training Center in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
