Echota Technologies Corporation is soliciting resumes for a Fire Protection Engineer on our subcontract at the Idaho National Laboratory. You will be required to sign a letter of commitment and your resume can not be submitted on another proposal for the same position. POSITION DESCRIPTION: The primary purpose of this position is to provide advanced fire protection (FP) engineering support services to the assigned Site Area. Develop solutions to a wide range of complex FP issues, which require ingenuity, innovation, and creativity. Duties include development and review of fire hazards analysis (FHAs), fire safety assessments (FSAs), engineering design forms (EDFs), and facility design reviews as directed by management. Other FP activities shall include review of work control documentation and walk downs to ensure safe and timely completion of inspection, testing, and maintenance activities. The clearance level should be “L”. Position Responsibilities are listed below.
Minimum Qualification Requirements (Education/Experience):
Applicable Bachelor Degree plus at least 4 years of relevant experience or at least 12 years of equivalent relevant experience
SPECIAL REQUIREMENTS: Must be capable of qualifying for an “L” Clearance.
Satisfy at least one of the following qualifications:
• Registered Professional Engineer in fire protection.
• A degree from an accredited fire protection engineering curriculum.
• A degree from an accredited engineering curriculum with no less than four years of engineering practice, at least three of these years in responsible charge of fire protection engineering work.
• Demonstrated a working level knowledge of engineering principles with no less than six years of engineering practice and in responsible charge of fire protection work for at least three of those years.
The period of performance is expected to begin no later than (determined upon award) through 9.30.2010 and duration could possibly be up to 9.30.2012.
