Position Details: Communications Engineer
Description:
Echota Technologies Corporation is building a resume database for an engineering support contract that will be performed in Las Vegas, Nevada area. Work assignments may last from two weeks to six months. Notification for authorization to work may take place in as little time as five business days before the start of work. The work may require a security clearance. If a security clearance is required, applicants must be capable of obtaining a DOE "Q" security clearance and must be a US Citizen. · Must have a working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to communications engineering design.
· Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with a minimum of 10 or more years experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering and field experience in the inspection of construction projects, required.
· Plan, organize, and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects through project startup.
· Execute tasks associated with the preparation, modification, and review of all types of communication system design/construction drawings, including microwave, telephone data, system control and data acquisition (SCADA), mobile radio, fire alarm, microwave radio, security and video.
· Properly interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications, and system descriptions related to assigned tasks.
· Prepare studies, analyses, and reports as required. Prepare engineering cost and schedules estimates. Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
· Familiarity with Microstation computer-aided drafting applications is required
