Position Details: Electrical Engineer
Description:
Echota Technologies Corporation is building a resume database for an engineering support contract that will be performed in Las Vegas, Nevada area. Work assignments may last from two weeks to six months. Notification for authorization to work may take place in as little time as five business days before the start of work. The work may require a security clearance. If a security clearance is required, applicants must be capable of obtaining a DOE "Q" security clearance and must be a US Citizen. Echota offers competitive salaries and paid travel expenses when travel criteria is met. Specific job qualifications are listed below.
· Must have a working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to electrical engineering design.
· Bachelor of Science in Electrical (Power) Engineering with a minimum of 5 or more years experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering and field experience in the inspection of construction projects, required.
· Perform electrical high voltage design, including substation, transmission, and distribution design up to 138-kVA.
· Plan, organize and coordinate electrical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects.
· Prepare and modify electrical design drawings (e.g., single line diagrams, schematics, wiring diagram layouts, raceway, lightning and grounding).
· Properly Interpret and apply National, State, and Local codes and standards, and customer design requirements for the preparation of electrical design/construction documents, specifications and system descriptions related to assigned tasks .
· Prepare engineering cost and schedule estimates.
· Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations and specifications.
· Familiarity with Microstation computer-aided drafting applications is required
