Position Details: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Description:
Echota Technologies Corporation is building a resume database for an engineering support contract that will be performed in Las Vegas, Nevada area. Work assignments may last from two weeks to six months. Notification for authorization to work may take place in as little time as five business days before the start of work. The work may require a security clearance. If a security clearance is required, applicants must be capable of obtaining a DOE "Q" security clearance and must be a US Citizen. Echota offers competitive salaries and paid travel expenses when travel criteria is met. Specific job qualifications are listed below.
· Must have a working knowledge of Federal, State, and Local codes and standards applicable to mechanical engineering design.
· Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering with a minimum of 10 years experience in design, estimating, specification preparation, construction document preparation, related phases of engineering, and field experience in the inspection of construction projects.
· Conduct construction document reviews as required.
· Nevada Professional Engineer License, or ability to obtain through alternate state reciprocity, required.
· Plan, organize, and coordinate mechanical engineering and multi-disciplined team/design projects while engaged in the planning, design and construction phases of engineering projects including project startup.
· Demonstrate design experience in areas such as, but not limited to, heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC), process piping, facility and site piping, plumbing, industrial exhaust, and instrumentation and controls.
· Generate and review the accuracy of design/evaluation calculations, and specifications.
· Familiarity with Microstation computer-aided drafting applications is required
