Position Details: Senior Fire Protection Engineer
Description:
Echota Technologies Corporation is building a resume database for an engineering support contract that will be performed in Las Vegas, Nevada area. Work assignments may last from two weeks to six months. Notification for authorization to work may take place in as little time as five business days before the start of work. The work may require a security clearance. If a security clearance is required, applicants must be capable of obtaining a DOE "Q" security clearance and must be a US Citizen. Echota offers competitive salaries and paid travel expenses when travel criteria is met. Specific job qualifications are listed below.
· Must have a working knowledge of Federal, State and Local codes and standards applicable to fire protection design.
· Possess an accredited engineering curriculum with a focus on fire protection (FP) technology, minimum 10 years of practical related engineering practice, 8 years of which will have been in charge of diverse fire protection engineering design/construction work.
· Conduct construction document reviews as required.
· NFPA Certified.
· Generation of Facility Hazard Analysis (FHA) documents, modifications to existing FHA documents, facility FP assessments, detailed FP design, and calculation of various FP systems including pre-action, wet pipe and dry pipe systems and review of FP packages and contractor submittals.
· Familiarity with Microstation computer-aided drafting applications is required
